Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is Tom & Jerry’s Airboat Rides located?
We are conveniently located in Central Florida, less than half a mile off I-75. Whether you’re coming from The Villages, Wildwood, Orlando, Tampa, or beyond, we’re easy to find and perfect for a quick day trip.

2. What should I wear and bring on the tour?
Comfort is key! We recommend wearing casual clothing and shoes suitable for the outdoors. Don’t forget essentials like sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. A light jacket is also a good idea if you’re concerned about wind or cooler temperatures. And of course, bring your camera to capture all the wildlife and stunning views!

3. How long are the airboat tours?
Our tours range from 1 to 2 hours depending on the package you choose. We also offer customizable private tours if you’d like to spend more time exploring the swamps.

4. Is there an age limit for the tours?
Our tours are suitable for all ages, making them perfect for families. However, for safety and comfort, we recommend that children be at least 3 years old to fully enjoy the experience.

5. Will we definitely see alligators?
While we can’t guarantee wildlife sightings (alligators are on their own schedule, after all), our location is a prime spot for gator viewing. Our guides know the best areas to look, so it’s very likely you’ll see one or more during your ride.

6. Do I need to know how to swim?
Not at all! You’ll be staying nice and dry on our airboat (unless you get caught in an unexpected splash from an excited alligator).

7. Can I bring snacks on the boat?
We kindly ask that you avoid bringing snacks, unless you plan on sharing them with the gators (just kidding, please don’t feed the wildlife). In all seriousness, keeping the tour environment clean and free from debris helps protect the habitat and the animals we’re here to see.

8. What’s the best time of year to take an airboat ride?
The great thing about Florida is that our tours run year-round! However, cooler months are often more comfortable, and wildlife sightings can be more frequent as animals come out to bask in the sun.

9. Are pets allowed?
As much as we love our furry friends, the airboat is not an ideal environment for pets. The loud engine noise and fast speeds can be overwhelming for most animals. It’s best to leave them at home and bring back some great photos instead.

10. What if it rains on the day of my tour?
Florida weather can be unpredictable! We monitor conditions closely and, if needed, can reschedule your tour to ensure you have the best experience possible. Light rain won’t stop us, but in the case of thunderstorms or heavy rain, we’ll work with you to find a new time.

11. How fast do the airboats go?
Our airboats can reach thrilling speeds of up to 40 mph! But don’t worry, we’ll mix in some slower cruising so you can take in the beautiful scenery (and maybe catch your breath).

12. Is it true that airboats can go on land?
Technically, yes! Airboats are designed to glide over shallow water and even marshy areas, but don’t expect us to go off-roading. We stick to the waterways for your comfort and safety—no swamping through the parking lot!

13. What’s the weirdest thing someone has seen on a tour?
Believe it or not, someone once spotted an alligator riding a log down the canal like it was a parade float. Florida wildlife is full of surprises, and you never know what you might encounter!

14. How do I book a tour?
Booking is easy! You can reserve your spot right here on our website. Just choose your preferred date, time, and tour package, and you’ll be all set for your adventure. You can also give us a call if you have any special requests or need help with your booking.

15. Can I schedule a private tour for a special event?
Absolutely! We offer private group tours that can be customized for parties, corporate events, family reunions, and more. Whether you want a calm and scenic ride or an adrenaline-pumping adventure, we’ll create an experience that’s perfect for your group.
